Today, officials from the Museums of the Barcelona Provincial Council visited the Marc Viader Foundation, with the aim of gaining a close understanding of the work of preserving, researching, and disseminating the legacy of Marc Viader, an entrepreneur, innovator, and key figure in Catalonia’s agri-food history.

During the visit, representatives of the Provincial Council had the opportunity to see the Foundation’s facilities, its documentary and heritage collection, as well as the educational and cultural projects being developed there. The meeting also served to explore possible lines of collaboration between the Museums of the Provincial Council Network and the Foundation, with the aim of strengthening the dissemination of Catalan industrial and food heritage.

The Foundation’s president, Josep Viader Berges, emphasized “the importance of working together with public institutions to highlight the figure of Marc Viader and his pioneering role in the modernization of the dairy sector in our country.” For their part, representatives of the Provincial Council expressed the Council’s commitment “to the promotion of cultural heritage and collaboration with local entities working to preserve our collective memory.”

The day concluded with a brief visit to the permanent exhibition dedicated to Marc Viader and the beginnings of the Letona company, one of the emblematic brands born from his entrepreneurial spirit.
